On-Premises
Technical requirements for FlexNet Connect On-Premises.
Supported Browsers: Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher and Firefox 3.0 or higher
FlexNet Connect Windows Client is supported on:
- Windows 2000, SP4
- Windows XP, SP2 and higher
- Windows Vista, SP2 and higher
- Windows 7
The FlexNet Connect Java Client is supported on:
- Tier 1 Platforms (certified on the date of General Availability ("GA date") of each release)
- Windows 2000, SP4 and higher
- Windows XP, SP2 and higher
- Windows Vista, SP2 and higher
- Windows 7
- Mac OS X 10.5 and higher
- RHEL 5 and higher
- Tier 2 Platforms (certified 60 days after GA date of a release)
- Sun Solaris 10 and higher
- Tier 3 Platforms (certified 90 days after GA date of a release)
- AIX 5.3 and higher
- HP-UX 11i v2, v3 and higher
- JRE versions 1.4.2 and later are supported for the Java client run time.
Publisher Management Portal (PMP) and Customer Management Portal (CMP) Requirements
Except where exceptions are noted, the FlexNet Connect Publisher Management Portal (PMP), Customer Management Portal (CMP), and other servers share the same system requirements. Note: No other Web application can share the FlexNet Connect server machines.
Supported Operating System/Architecture for PMP/CMP servers
- Tier 1 Platforms (certified on the date of General Availability ("GA date") of each release)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 and higher, 32-bit
- Microsoft Windows 2003 Server (32-bit only)
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (requires UAC disabled)
- Tier 2 Platforms (certified 60 days after GA date of a release)
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 10 and higher, 32-bit
- Sun Solaris 10
Supported Databases for PMP/CMP
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008, Enterprise or Standard Edition
- Oracle 10g and 11g, Enterprise, or Standard Edition
Apache Derby (formerly Cloudscape) will continue to be embedded in CMP/PMP. Because it is intended for embedded usage, we will no longer document Apache Derby versions being used in FlexNet Connect.
For the optional FlexNet Connect reporting database (available to self-hosted, Premier edition users only). FlexNet Connect requires Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and later.

RAM 512MB (1GB recommended for database servers)
Disk Space 20GB (100GB+ recommended for database servers)
