FlexNet ID Dongle

FlexNet Licensing with FlexNet ID Dongle Software Licensing Protection

Today's application producers need flexible software licensing options to protect their IP against software piracy. Some prefer the use of a dongle (or a combination of both software licensing and dongles) to protect their IP. A dongle is a serialized hardware key attached to a parallel or USB port on a computer. A dongle is used to limit or lock software access to whomever has the dongle attached to their system via the associated license file.

FlexNet Licensing (FlexNet Publisher or FlexNet Embedded) software licensing and FlexNet ID Dongle provide you with the software piracy protection you need to safeguard your IP.

FlexNet ID Dongle

FlexNet ID Dongle enables you to limit or lock software access to your system. FlexNet ID Dongle works in conjunction with FlexNet Licensing to enhance security as a form of hostid. A FlexNet ID Dongle is automatically supported as a valid hostid by any FlexEnabled application. For additional information or to order dongles, please contact flexid@flexerasoftware.com.

2GB Flash Dongle Support

FlexNet Licensing offers 2GB Flash Dongle Support. It allows application producers to bind a license to a portable device to enhance the end user experience. The license is stored and can be easily moved from one machine to another. In addition, the Flash Dongle Support enables the application to store additional data—up to 2GB—without having to re-deploy or update their licensed application.
