FlexNet ID
Enhanced Security
The FlexNet ID dongle enables you to limit or lock software access to your system. FlexNet ID dongle works in conjunction with FlexNet Publisher to enhance security as a form of hostid. The dongle is a serialized hardware key that attaches to a parallel or USB port on a computer. A FlexNet ID dongle is automatically supported as a valid hostid by any FlexEnabled application. 2GB Flash Dongle Support
FlexNet Publisher offers 2GB Flash Dongle Support, which allows software vendors to bind a license to a portable device to enhance the end user experience. The license is stored and can be easily moved from one machine to another. In addition, the Flash Dongle Support enables the software vendor to store additional data—up to 2GB—without having to re-deploy or update their licensed application.
