On August 30th 2007, Flexera Software is retiring 5 older operating systems and 17 platform versions in FlexNet Publisher, FlexNet Operations, and FlexNet Manager.
In order to provide our customers with products that support the latest technologies, Flexera Software continually re-evaluates its product strategy and must occasionally retire support for specific platforms in favor of support for newer ones. Flexera Software will not accept any new sales and will not add any bug fixes for these platforms versions or the operating systems being end-of-lifed.
Customers who purchased FlexNet products running on the operating systems and platform versions that have been retired can continue to use their existing products. However, going forward these operating systems and platforms versions will no longer be offered and supported in future FlexNet product releases.
Customers with currently active support contracts relating to a Flexera Software product release that supports any of the retired operating systems may continue to contact Flexera Software Support at 408-969-5441. The Support organization will be able to provide answers to customer questions for the duration of the support contract. Upon expiration, no support contracts will be renewed for the retired operating systems or platform versions.

Why are operating systems and platform versions being end-of-lifed?
New operating systems are launched on a regular basis. To ensure that we are supporting the latest operating systems and/or the latest platform versions, older platforms and platform versions need to be retired. Additionally, our customers have often upgraded to newer operating systems and platform versions. In order to ensure market responsivenessand to offer our customers support for the latest technologies, Flexera Software must continually re-evaluate its product strategy to focus on product development that maximizes the value we deliver. Occasionally this means restructuring our product direction toward specific platforms or operating systems and away from others.
