InstallShield 2008

Announced: August 19, 2010

On August 19, 2010, Flexera Software announced the end of life of InstallShield 2008, including all English and Japanese language editions. Flexera Software no longer accepts new orders for InstallShield 2008.

To stay current with the latest Flexera Software release, InstallShield 2008 users who are not on a maintenance or subscription plan can purchase the latest version of InstallShield by November 30, 2010 and still be eligible for upgrade pricing. If you purchase after November 30, 2010, you will only be eligible for new license pricing.

Technical support for InstallShield 2008 will end on August 19, 2011. Customers who currently have active maintenance plans for InstallShield 2008 will receive technical support through the end of their respective contracts.

InstallShield 12

Announced: June 18, 2009

On June 18, 2009, Flexera Software announced the end of life of InstallShield 12. This includes all English and Japanese InstallShield 12 Premier, Professional and Express Editions. As of June 18, 2009, Flexera Software no longer accepts new orders for InstallShield 12.

To stay current with the latest Flexera Software release, InstallShield 12 users who are not on maintenance will need to purchase a new license of the latest version of InstallShield in order to stay current.

Technical support for InstallShield 12 will end on June 30, 2010. Customers who currently have maintenance plans for InstallShield 12 Editions will receive technical support through the end of their respective contracts.

InstallShield German Language Editions All Versions

Announced: June 2, 2009

On June 2, 2009, Flexera Software announced the end of life of all InstallShield German language editions version 12, 2008, and 2009 and InstallShield Collaboration German. This includes all German language Premier, Professional and Express Editions. As of July 31, 2009, Flexera Software no longer accepts new orders for InstallShield German Editions.

To stay current with the latest Flexera Software release, InstallShield German users who are not on maintenance can purchase the latest English version of InstallShield (for Windows support) or InstallAnywhere (for multiplatform support).

Technical support for InstallShield German Editions will end on June 1, 2010. Customers who currently have maintenance plans for InstallShield German Editions will receive technical support through the end of their respective contracts.

InstallShield 11 and 11.5

Announced: August 27, 2008

On August 27, 2008, Flexera Software announced the end of life of InstallShield 11 and 11.5. This includes Premier, Professional and Express Editions and all languages of these Editions. As of August 27, 2008, Flexera Software no longer accepts new orders for InstallShield 11 and 11.5.

To stay current with the latest Flexera Software release, InstallShield 11 users can purchase the latest version of InstallShield (for Windows support) or InstallAnywhere (for multiplatform support) at the upgrade price through December 31, 2008. After December 31, 2008, customers currently on InstallShield 11 will need to purchase a new license of the latest version of InstallShield or InstallAnywhere at the regular full license price in order to stay current.

To stay current with the latest Flexera Software release, InstallShield 11.5 users can purchase the latest version of InstallShield at the upgrade price through December 31, 2008. After December 31, 2008, customers currently on InstallShield 11.5 will need to purchase a new license of the latest version of InstallShield at the regular full license price in order to stay current.

Technical support for InstallShield 11 and 11.5 ended on August 27, 2009. Customers who currently have maintenance for InstallShield 11 and 11.5 will receive technical support through the end of their respective contracts.

On September 28, 2007, Flexera Software announced the end of life of InstallShield DevStudio 9 and InstallShield Express 5.

As of September 28, 2007, Flexera Software no longer accepts new orders for DevStudio 9 and InstallShield 5 Express. Customers using these products had until December 31, 2007 to upgrade to the latest version of InstallShield.

Technical support for DevStudio 9 and InstallShield 5 Express ended on September 28, 2008. Customers who currently have maintenance for DevStudio 9 and InstallShield 5 Express will receive technical support through the end of their respective contracts.

DevStudio 9 and InstallShield 5 Express users can now purchase the latest version of InstallShield at the regular price. The upgrade pricing for these customers expired on December 31, 2007.

InstallShield X, InstallShield X Express, and InstallShield 10.5

Announced: September 28, 2007

On September 28, 2007, Flexera Software announced the end of life of InstallShield X, InstallShield X Express, and InstallShield 10.5.

As of September 28, 2007, Flexera Software no longer accepts new orders for InstallShield X, InstallShield X Express, and InstallShield 10.5. Customers using these products had until December 31, 2007 to upgrade to the latest version of either InstallShield (for Windows™ installations) or InstallAnywhere (for multi-platform installations).

Technical support for InstallShield X, InstallShield X Express, and InstallShield 10.5 ended on September 28, 2008. Customers who currently have maintenance for InstallShield X, InstallShield X Express, and InstallShield 10.5 will receive technical support through the end of their respective contracts.
