Flexera Software Deepens Its Senior Management Bench, Setting the Stage for Accelerated Growth

Kraig Washburn named general counsel; Dana Sacks joins as new vice president of human resources

Schaumburg, IL - February 13, 2012 Flexera Software, the leading provider of Application Usage Management solutions for application producers and enterprises, announced today that Kraig Washburn has been named Flexera Software's general counsel, and Dana Sacks has joined the company as its vice president of human resources.

Enjoying double-digit growth, market leadership in its core markets - Licensing, Entitlement Management and Delivery, InstallationSoftware License Optimization and Application Readiness - and considerable momentum following its recent acquisition of SCCM Expert, Flexera Software is setting the stage for accelerated growth in Application Usage Management. Deepening the management team's bench strength in legal and human resources will be key to that growth.

As General Counsel, Kraig Washburn will lead the Flexera Software legal team and oversee the legal affairs of the company on a global basis. His principal areas of focus are software licensing, intellectual property and rights management, mergers and acquisitions, international legal issues and providing strategic advice to the company as part of the senior management team. Kraig has 16 years of experience both representing and working for technology companies. Immediately prior to joining Flexera Software he spent nearly five years as a member of Cisco Systems' legal department where he led a team responsible for supporting the legal needs of a two billion dollar segment of annual business for Cisco. Prior to Cisco he was with the Colorado offices of the international law firm of Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells). Kraig started his career with Katten Muchin Zavis in Chicago.

As Vice President of Human Resources, Dana comes to Flexera Software with 30 years extensive experience in human resources strategy, organizational transformation, change management, benefits, compensation, recruiting and organizational development and training. Prior to joining Flexera Software, she worked for Beam Inc. and United Continental Holdings as vice president of human resources. Dana also held executive positions at PepsiAmericas, leading talent and organizational effectiveness, international HR, compensation and benefits. She also held HR leadership positions throughout her tenure at other leading companies, including Tellabs, Divine Interventures, Platinum Technology and BP Amoco. Dana holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business administration from Northeastern Oklahoma State and a MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

"Application Usage Management has taken center stage due to the explosive growth in virtualization, the Cloud, the consumerization of IT, connected intelligent devices and other trends," said Mark Bishof, Flexera Software's president and CEO. "As we scale Flexera Software to accommodate accelerating market demand, deepening our legal and human resources capabilities is essential to growing the organization and being more customer centric. Both Kraig and Dana bring tremendous experience in their respective areas and we are thrilled to have them join the management team as we steer Flexera Software through our next phase of development."
