...most exposed programs for Q4, 2016 were Apple iTunes 12.x (56 percent unpatched, 46 percent market share, 29 vulnerabilities), Oracle Java JRE 1.8.x / 8.x (45 percent unpatched, 43 percent market share, 39 vulnerabilities), and VLC Media Player 2.x (38 percent unpatched, 46 percent market share, 5 vulnerabilities).

...most exposed programs for Q4, 2016 were Apple iTunes 12.x (57 percent unpatched, 42 percent market share, 29 vulnerabilities), Oracle Java JRE 1.8.x / 8.x (53 percent unpatched, 43 percent market share 39 vulnerabilities), and Lhaplus 1.x (63 percent unpatched, 26 percent market share, 0 vulnerabilities*).

* Vulnerabilities are counted over the previous four quarters. So while no vulnerabilities were found this past quarter for this program, it remains exposed because users have not been diligently patching older vulnerabilities found in it.
